Taxi
Taxi transfer is the easiest and most comfortable way of travelling from Malaga Airport to Almuñécar. You will find taxis outside the arrivals hall to the right. The journey time is approximately 60 minutes with almost all of the trip on the coastal motorway. The cost for transfer is approximately €90.00 each way.
Bus
You can also travel with bus from the airport to Almuñécar. First, you have to get from Malaga airport to Malaga bus station:
Getting from Malaga Airport to Malaga Bus Station:
The A Express bus (Line 75) leaves from outside the T3 arrivals area. When you exit the airport through the terminal 3 arrivals hall, turn to the right and go outside into the square. Just in front of the exit is a small kiosk where you should buy the bus tickets if you don’t already have one. The buses stop at the far side of this square. The buses are every 20 to 30 minutes from 07:00 until 24:00 (from the airport) or 06:25 until 23:30 (to the airport). The journey time is about 30 minutes, but the buses are comfy and air-conditioned.
At Malaga Bus Station, purchase a ticket from the Alsa Bus Company office. The bus ticket to Almuñécar costs about €7.00 (€13.00 return). During periods of the year the bus to Almunecar leaves only 2 times a day from Malaga Bus station, be sure to check out the timetables for the bus at: https://www.alsa.com/en/web/bus/home Depending on the time of day you select, this journey will be approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.
There is also a direct bus from Malaga Airport to Almuñécar at 14.15 PM and from Almuñécar to Malaga Airport at 11.15 AM. Check out the schedules on this link: https://www.alsa.com/en/web/bus/home
Casa Londi is only a 5 minute taxi ride from the bus station.
Train and Bus
Train from Malaga Airport to Malaga City:
September 10th 2010 saw the construction of a new RENFE train station at the Malaga airport, 30 metres from the terminal building, meaning an end to long treks with heavy bags. It is a very quick, convenient and easy way to get to Malaga bus station or to Malaga city. The suburban train station forms part of the Terminal T3 building. The train journey takes 11 minutes and costs €1.80 each way. First train from the airport to Maria Zambrano station is at 06.44 and then every 20 minutes until 00:03. First train from Maria Zambrano to the airport is at 05:20 then every 20 minutes until 22:53. From the train station to the bus station is only around a 5 minute walk. Both buildings are across the street from each other.

Car Rental
If you rent a car at Malaga airport it is very easy to get out and on to the motorway to Almuñécar. Head out of the airport (there is only one way out) and you will join the M23. Stay on this road until you join the M20 in direction: Motril and Almeria. You are then on the AUTOVÍA del MEDITERRANEO (A7). Carry on following the large blue signs to: ALMERIA, CORDOBA, GRANADA and SEVILLA the A7/E15 and A45. Several kms further on after leaving Malaga – the motorway splits to the right to Granada, Cordoba and Seville (DO NOT take this) but follow signs straight on for ALMERÍA and MOTRIL. This motorway follows the coast all the way to Almuñécar. Leave the highway at the junction 305 sign posted for Almuñécar Oeste and La Herradura. This road is the N340a which will take you into Almuñécar.
