The access road is through a concrete concrete road, a little narrow and very little traveled, but totally suitable for any vehicle.

Beautiful Casa Chana is located in the area of Tesorillo / Velilla in Almunecar, and only a 2-3 minute walk (190m) from the beautiful Playa Tesorillo. With its own community pool just a few steps from the accommodation, you have the option of pool or beach days. This location is also ideal to use as a base to facilitate further afield ventures. It is a comfortable house with gorgeous views and a great location! The property has been recently tastefully renovated to give the fresh, bright and spacious appearance that it does. The holiday home has 4 terraces each with different uses……. There’s a Jacuzzi/sunbathing terrace, the BBQ terrace and the lounge level outside dining terrace. The main bedroom also has a private terrace. The house has an open, light and airy feel, and lots of modern decorations. Casa Chana is a unique and charming “beach-home” with a lot of character! The beds are of good Scandinavian quality and the house has air conditioning throughout. The beautiful and large lounge/kitchen has patio doors leading out on to the terrace, the perfect evening relaxation place with a good book and a glass of wine.

EAT.

The house’s kitchen is very well equipped with everything you could need to cook delicious dinners with the ingredients you find at the local market. The kitchen really is the heart of the house as it opens up to the living room and the big dining table that comfortably seats 6 people.

SLEEP.

Casa Chana has three bedrooms. One on the entrance level and the other two on the next level. The bedrooms are all tastefully decorated and have comfortable Scandinavian designed beds. There is air conditioning (hot and cold) in all rooms. Two of the bedrooms have double beds and one of the bedrooms has two single beds which can be put together to make an additional double. All bedrooms have their own unique style, and the biggest of the bedrooms has its own terrace with private views. Casa Chana comfortably sleeps six people. The house has two bathrooms. One on the ground floor, next to the first bedroom, with access from the living room which contains a shower. The second bathroom also with a shower is located between the additional two bedrooms on the next floor.

SWIM.

Playa Tesorillo is located just 190 meters from the house. Easy walking distance for a day at the beach or an evening swim. Casa Chana is equipped with both beach chairs and umbrellas that you can borrow for a beach trip. Just twenty steps through the front door of Casa Chana, lays the urbanizations shared pool that is open during the summer months (June – September). It is a large pool which is the hub of the community. A great meeting place of like-minded holiday makers. On the top terrace of the holiday home is also a Jacuzzi with sun loungers…. The perfect place for the evening sunshine drinking bubbles. This terrace is 100% private.

OUTSIDE.

The house has four terraces on three different levels that offer privacy and mountain views. There is a seating area, a dining table, sun loungers, outdoor shower, BBQ and a Jacuzzi. Everything you need to enjoy your time outside!

ALMUNECAR.

Almuñecar is a vibrant town, but still has the heart of an old Andalusian “pueblo” with its narrow cobbled streets and whitewashed houses. The old town is full of tapas bars, bodegas, restaurants and interesting shops of all kinds. In the market hall (Mercado Municipal), you will find daily fresh fish, meat, fruit and vegetables from local growers and suppliers. On Fridays, there is a street market (Mercadillo) on Paseo Blas Infante. Here you will find clothes, shoes, ceramics, jewellery, handbags and more. Attractions in Almuñecar include among others the ancient Phoenician fish salt factory, Roman aqueducts, the botanical garden Parque Majuelo (in July every year an international jazz festival is held here), Bird Park Loro Sexi, the old Moorish castle of San Miguel, aquarium with sharks and different fishes, and the water park Aquatropic. For golf lovers there is a golf course with 18 holes just a 20 minute drive in the neighbouring town of Motril. Located at the foot of the snowy Sierra Nevada mountains, lies the Granada province’s fantastic capital Granada. It does not take more than an hour to drive there from Almunecar, making it possible to ski in the morning, and take a dip in the Mediterranean ocean in the afternoon! A visit to the Alhambra is a must while in Granada! The Moorish palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of Spain’s most visited attractions. A variety of airlines (Ryanair, Vueling, Norweigan, SN Brussels Airlines, Jetair, SAS …) flies for bargain prices to Malaga. At the airport you can rent a car easily and cheaply. Then it is a 60 minute drive from the airport to Almunecar and Casa Chana. We can also help you arrange a transfer from the airport if needed.

Beautiful Casa Londi is located in the Fuentes urbanization which is on the outskirts of Almuñécar.  A 15 minute walk takes you to the beaches and restaurants of the historic town. An ideal holiday home to deliver the absolute relaxation many seek, away from the normal hustle and bustle of their daily life. The holiday home is only a 1 minute walk away from the stunning infinity pool which is available in the peak season. There is a secondary pool available all year round which is also only a few minutes walk away.  It is a recently decorated and furnished house with something for everyone. The house has 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms over 2 floors. From the street you enter the hallway leading to the twin bedroom and shower room with the double room and on suite bathroom being on the floor below. On the bottom floor is the tastefully decorated lounge, kitchen and large external terrace. As previously mentioned, the urbanization has an infinity pool only a minutes walk from holiday home, however, the beaches, restaurants and shops are only a pleasant 15 minute walk.  Walking distance for a day at the beach or an evening swim.

The house has a spacious terrace to accommodate all your relaxing holiday requirements.  There is a BBQ on the terrace along with a comfortable seating/dining area. For your ‘easy day sunbathing’ day, there are loungers and a retractable pergola.

Transport

Getting Here From Malaga Airport

Taxi

Taxi transfer is the easiest and most comfortable way of travelling from Malaga Airport to Almuñécar. You will find taxis outside the arrivals hall to the right. The journey time is approximately 60 minutes with almost all of the trip on the coastal motorway. The cost for transfer is approximately €90.00 each way.

Bus

You can also travel with bus from the airport to Almuñécar. First, you have to get from Malaga airport to Malaga bus station:

Getting from Malaga Airport to Malaga Bus Station:

The A Express bus (Line 75) leaves from outside the T3 arrivals area. When you exit the airport through the terminal 3 arrivals hall, turn to the right and go outside into the square. Just in front of the exit is a small kiosk where you should buy the bus tickets if you don’t already have one. The buses stop at the far side of this square. The buses are every 20 to 30 minutes from 07:00 until 24:00 (from the airport) or 06:25 until 23:30 (to the airport). The journey time is about 30 minutes, but the buses are comfy and air-conditioned.

At Malaga Bus Station, purchase a ticket from the Alsa Bus Company office. The bus ticket to Almuñécar costs about €7.00 (€13.00 return). During periods of the year the bus to Almunecar leaves only 2 times a day from Malaga Bus station, be sure to check out the timetables for the bus at: https://www.alsa.com/en/web/bus/home Depending on the time of day you select, this journey will be approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.

Casa Londi is only a 5 minute taxi ride from the bus station.

Train and Bus

Train from Malaga Airport to Malaga City:

September 10th 2010 saw the construction of a new RENFE train station at the Malaga airport, 30 metres from the terminal building, meaning an end to long treks with heavy bags. It is a very quick, convenient and easy way to get to Malaga bus station or to Malaga city. The suburban train station forms part of the Terminal T3 building. The train journey takes 11 minutes and costs €1.80 each way. First train from the airport to Maria Zambrano station is at 06.44 and then every 20 minutes until 00:03. First train from Maria Zambrano to the airport is at 05:20 then every 20 minutes until 22:53. From the train station to the bus station is only around a 5 minute walk. Both buildings are across the street from each other.

At Malaga Bus Station, purchase a ticket from the Alsa Bus Company office. The bus ticket to Almunecar costs about 9 euro. During periods of the year the bus to Almunecar leaves only 2 times a day from Malaga Bus station, be sure to check out the timetables for the bus at: https://www.alsa.com/en/web/bus/home

Car Rental

If you rent a car at Malaga airport it is very easy to get out and on to the motorway to Almuñécar. Head out of the airport (there is only one way out) and you will join the M23. Stay on this road until you join the M20 in direction: Motril and Almeria. You are then on the AUTOVÍA del MEDITERRANEO (A7). Carry on following the large blue signs to: ALMERIA, CORDOBA, GRANADA and SEVILLA the A7/E15 and A45. Several kms further on after leaving Malaga – the motorway splits to the right to Granada, Cordoba and Seville (DO NOT take this) but follow signs straight on for ALMERÍA and MOTRIL. This motorway follows the coast all the way to Almuñécar. Leave the highway at the junction 305 sign posted for Almuñécar Oeste and La Herradura. This road is the N340a which will take you into Almuñécar.
